Im sure all you brewers have the same problem as me, working long hours trying to perfect your brew, constant sampling and not always having the time to eat as healthy as we should. Im sure some of you reading this article have the notorious beer gut (if not most of you).

Luckily for us, there are a few easy and effective ways to make sure were keeping in top top shape while spending long hours in the brewery and constantly sampling our high calorie creations.

The most important thing, which almost goes without saying is exercise. If you have enough room to set up a brewery, you have enough room to exercise. There is always a bit of down time during the day when brewing, so use this time to do some body-weight workouts. Body-weight workouts use your own body-weight as resistance and so you dont need any extra equipment, which is perfect since we all have enough equipment in our breweries.

Another effective way to keep fit while brewing is to use meal replacement shakes. Meal replacement shakes are high in protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals and can be used when you dont have enough time to prepare a nutritious meal.
